I was a guest speaker on a panel of entrepreneurs today at Apex High School. Three, then four, speakers participated in a Q&A session with students in the midst of writing business plans and building “virtual” businesses in the Business and Personal Finance courses at Apex High School. Diane Cadavid was our hostess for the morning.

Little ole me, was in the midst of three awesome entrepreneurs in Apex — Jerry Gala of Apex Autoworks, Rich and Steve, the owners of Dixie Belle’s Barbeque and Peak City Grill respectively.

It was great being able to give back to the community in this way and to see minds at work. You could tell some of the kids were absolutely enthralled with the information they were getting — and others were well … less enthusiastic. While they are all future business men and women, some will very clearly make it happen faster than others. 🙂

I was honored to be asked to participate in this event and welcome the opportunity to do so again in the future. 🙂
