On Friday night, I had the most honorable opportunity — to photograph the behind the scenes activities of the Apex presentation of The Vagina Monologues — and the photograph the event itself. The women of Apex have once again outdone themselves. They are truly inspirational and completely wonderful! This group came together once again to put on a controversial yet completely powerful and awe-inspiring presentation.

There are many times in our lives that we think pushing the envelope isn’t the best idea, but the reality is that there are times that it is needed and these women do the trick! They, through their efforts to put the play on, bring a sense of purpose, education, and selfless motives to this effort. In a few weeks, I’ll have an entire article written about the efforts to make this event happen — the true behind the scenes as those efforts shouldn’t go unseen either.

Ladies …. congratulations on an amazing job well done! Kudos!
