Now I Lay Me Down to Sleep Exhibit Open!
On March 20, 2009, we, along with nearly 75 folks, opened the first ever Now I Lay Me Down to Sleep exhibition at the Halle Cultural Arts Center here in Apex, NC. We’ve been planning this show for over six months and with 46 photos, three tapestries, roses, food, music and thoughts from the Duke University Medical Center chaplain, the Director of the Halle Cultural Arts Center and our own NILMDTS photographers, the exhibit was opened!
Malissa Dunn and I, with the help of the Arts Center staff, hung the show on Thursday evening. Springwell Gardens provided and hung all the roses, which were individual taken by the families that arrived and joined us that evening (if they chose). Cheesecake, pound cake and strawberries were provided by Stick Boy Bread Company and the coffee by Booda Beans.
Music was provided by Jaaffar Music and it was awesome how well it fit as ambiance.
The prints were donated. The frames were donated. It was all just perfect, in my humble opinion!
We, here are Pure Expressions, thank all the families for coming out and supporting us. While we will always wish to have met under other circumstances, we are so grateful to have been able to give you these images.
