Pure Expressions Photography launches "Giving" — a philanthropic, photographic division of the studio
From its inception in March 2005, Pure Expressions Photography has given back to the Apex community (and surrounding Raleigh-Durham area). Now, as 2009 begins, the studio has made its philanthropic efforts a prominent and distinct part of its website. The new website section, entitled “Giving” identifies some of the types of services the studio can offer as well as details on how a group or individual may receive them.
As part of “Giving”, the studio offers gift certificate donations, event and studio photography, portrait fundraisers, and personal gifts for non-profit groups and their fundraisers at free or significantly reduced rates.
“These gifts are not new for us,” says studio owner Aimee Bickers, adding, “We received the 2008 Apex Small Business of the Year award because of these types of efforts. We have been giving in this manner since the studio opened, but have seen such a growing need that we chose to make it easier for others to learn about it by adding an entire section to our website.”
“Giving” highlights a select few organizations served by the studio in 2008, including Now I Lay Me Down to Sleep, Boys & Girls Clubs, Marley’s Cat Tales and the Suzanne FitzGerald Family among others.
Pure Expressions Photography represents the photographic, creative and artistic vision of Apex resident Aimee Bickers. Using a casual, conversational and observational approach, the studio photographs pregnant moms, brides walking down the aisle, and everything in between, in the Apex based studio and on-location.
