Aimee will be teaching a four-part series of photography classes at the Halle Cultural Arts Center in Apex! Basic information is available online in the May-August Apex Parks and Recreation Program Guide.

Registration for Apex residents begins March 31, 2008 and for non-residents April 14, 2008. There are only 10 seats per class.

Here are all the details about the four classes:
May 6-27th
Photography 101
Learn how to use your camera better! What do all those symbols mean? When is there enough light? When is horizontal better than vertical? Final week will include an optional, quick print “competition”.
Class 1 : Your Camera
Class 2 : Light
Class 3 : Composition
Class 4 : Creativity

June 10 – July 1
Photography : All about composition
Learn how to compose a photo such that you’ll wow yourself. Learn about the rule of thirds, angles, planes and curves. Final week will include an optional, quick print “competition.”

Class 4 : Creative Composition

July 15 – August 5
Photography : Seeing the light
Learn how to see, interpret and use light in various settings, including indoor and natural light as well as that flash! Final week will include an optional, quick print “competition.”

Class 2 : Outdoor light
Class 3 : Faking the light
Class 4 : Using flash properly

August 19 – September 9
Photography : Editing (I will be using Photoshop, but any editing tool will work)
Learn how to take your photos to the next level with an editing tool. Good photographers are both photographer and editors … they go hand in hand. Learn about tools available, minor touching up, simple activities to make your photos better and how to get creative after the shot! Final week will include an optional, quick print “competition.”
