Night and Day by Emi Gayle

About the front:
Cute! And totally different to the series covers. Don’t you think? First off, this one is white. And the bubbles are colorful. And there’s a red-head on the cover with a … cartoon? If that doesn’t catch the eye, the poker chip, the dominos, the hanging fruit and the key in the girl’s hand all make me wonder just what in the world this story is about. The tagline is even cute … “A Suze-sized short …” Suze-sized? Isn’t Suze a giant demon? Does that mean the book is really long? And, ” … after the 19th year …” implies this is later on. Like when?

Now the beauty of this view is that *I* know all the answers! But I’ll leave you to figure them out, too.

Now let’s look at what the back says:

Something is wrong with Suze. His memory, his magic, even his muscles have all gone mental. If he’s not careful, the underworld’s version of the loony bin may be his next stop.

Not ready to give up the goat yet—if he had one he didn’t eat that is—Suze sets out to stop the mystical mayhem. Unfortunately, this isn’t a fairy tale, and Suze isn’t Snow White felled by an apple waiting for a kiss. Nor is he Prince Charming.

Nope, he’s just Suze. A destroyer demon stuck without the one person who probably kept him sane for the last eighteen years. Mackenzie Thorne. Or, maybe, just maybe, Mac made him insane, and what was once wrong is now right.

The only thing Suze is sure of—maybe—is that he needs to find the cure. However, with boy wonder memory-less and Mac in California, he’s not even sure where to start.

Of course, once he does figure it out, everything will fall into place like a well designed set of dominoes. Where the path leads, though, is a place Suze never would have expected.

Does it match? Front to Back without the in between?

Something is wrong with Suze. His memory, his magic, even his muscles have all gone mental. If he’s not careful, the underworld’s version of the loony bin may be his next stop.

That sounds like a tongue twister. Say it 5 times real fast. 😉

Suze would definitely eat the goat. And this ties in so beautifully to the above line, adding to the tongue twister. I also can’t see Suze as Prince Charming. But how cute would that be?

There is NO WAY Mac made life wrong. Or right. Or wrong. Oh, who am I kidding. Mac was a pain in the buttocks!

The only thing Suze is sure of—maybe—is that he needs to find the cure. However, with boy wonder memory-less and Mac in California, he’s not even sure where to start.

Sure of maybe? Poor Suze.

Of course, once he does figure it out, everything will fall into place like a well designed set of dominoes. Where the path leads, though, is a place Suze never would have expected.

Oooh. Where??

Will I read it?
I have because it’s ME who wrote it! Well … me in the form of my alter-ego that is!

Will you add it to your bookshelf virtual or otherwise? Share in the comments!
