N for … NO roosters allowed!
Today is all about the letter N.
My parents recently built a chicken coop which my kids happily tried to name ‘Dinner’. No, I’m not kidding. I believe the official name is in face something like La Cage aux folles … which if you know my mother, fits perfectly. 😉
Until the chickadees, which she ordered BY MAIL(!) are larger, they have a temporary home in her basement. All 7 of them. And they are cute. Seriously. 🙂
I have several friends who keep chickens for the fresh eggs, and they too ordered their chicks through the mail! Funny.
It sounds silly, but I guess it works!
Well, I never knew you could order chicks by mail before! Fun post.
Crazy, huh?
One morning I awoke to the realisation that a rooster had rocked up in my backyard. He was a great alarm clock even if he sometimes woke me up 2 hours too early. 😉
Hehehe. 🙂
If I were a rooster, I wouldn’t try to barge in there. 🙂

We tried this when my son was very young – ended up with seven roosters and one hen. Poor Henny Penny 😉
