Today’s A to Z challenge is about the letter L!

My son played football last fall and his team did lose, but the also won. He played and he didn’t. He messed up and he did great. They key thing, I think he learned from his efforts was that if you lose, there’s a time to be angry and ‘mourn’ but then you gotta move on and keep going.

Fall was a tough semester too, juggling school and football and sometimes, I’m sure he felt like a loser, struggling with school, but he’s moved forward, just like we’ve taught him and as of yesterday, he came home with straight As for the first part of this semester and a deep desire to play again.

So, loser or not, he’s a winner, too.
