I won! | Imagine Fiction contest
So I regularly submit my flash fiction pieces to contests … for kicks if nothing else. One of my pieces — A Woman Scorned — just won!
I submitted this one to Imagine Fictions most recent contest which had a $25 Amazon gift card for the top prize!
Since I expect the front page to change eventually, I had to copy where I showed up from it. 🙂
It’s my FIRST win! Way cool!
Enough about me though … how about you? Do you put yourself out there? Do you share, open yourself to potential criticism? If you do, you’ll find points that hurt — when your work doesn’t meant the quality or subjective level that someone expects. But you’ll also feel those moments when someone does think your work is worth something.
Those are the moments to cherish. 🙂
Yay, for you! Congratulations. I came 6th on the contest held over at Lena’s place. Pretty content with it as I do not like 55WF much in the first place. But this is special. I love the CoN contest more than anything in the blogging world. Do share any other fun contest info you come accross. I love participating. Like you said, they only help you become a better writer.
Congratulations Aimee! You totally deserved the win, it was a great story!
Thanks guys! I actually find out about almost all the contests from

Obviously I don’t enter all of them … there’s one or more posted a day I think … but some are all in good fun! 🙂
YEY! Way to go! 🙂 I am very happy for you. I like contests too, and latetly have been looking at entering some of the Fiction variety as I have noticed I tend to have a knack for this type of writing, especially where it is exploring feelings or emotions in my day to day life. They seem to transcend quite well into stories, with (real) meaning. I entered my first short fiction contest two weeks ago, and the theme was to describe an intimate place. Maximum of words, 50.
I like reading about people’s experiences in entering contests, as I find them inspiring.
Thanks for stopping by my blog and the comment. 🙂 I visit yours from time to time.
I like the short flash fiction best. I think, to be able to create an entire story in such a small span of words is awesome! 🙂 Good luck to you and thanks for stopping by! 🙂
