A Message from Aimee

The studio was closed over Thanksgiving so that our staff could enjoy themselves for a few days during this the “busy season”. Our family got up before the crack of dawn (4:00 am!) on Thursday and traveled to Kansas for a few days of food, family and fun! The weekend doubled as a family reunion and wedding (which we, of course happily photographed!).

Getting together with family is such an important part of the holiday season, don’t you think? If Christmas is anything like Thanksgiving was I will close out 2008 knowing I have an amazing circle of family to adore and cherish!

So, to start off this season, I give you my daughter Abby — whom, upon noticing that I received a thank you gift for my part in the wedding day celebrations, proceeded to become a present just for me.

Have a wonderful holiday season!
Aimee

Christmas Gift-Away family
merrychristmasCongratulations to Phyllis and Tom Sosdian of Apex! This family of six (yes, there are two family members that could not be in attendance) was the recipient of our first annual Family Portrait Gift-Away!

We had a ball in the studio and truly enjoyed our time together.

Read more about our adventure and about the Sosdian’s in the Cary News article published November 11th!

Moving Moment
mmWho can beat a smile like this one? How about the shining blue eyes? Certainly not me! It’s these kinds of shots that we strive for in our studio — just can’t get over when we capture them!

And how do we do it? Skill. Complete and absolute skill. Or luck? Or … a little bug box.

When all else fails, get a bug box. 🙂 For this little one, it (along with the suckers we had not-so-well-hidden) were the attention grabbers!

It was great photographing her and her handsome big brother and cute baby sister! Just wonderful!

Congratulations on being our October 2008 Moving Moment!

Reduce. Reuse. Recycle.
No more paper mailers. That’s right, we’re doing our part to keep the trees in the ground. As of November 15, 2008 — when the last of the 2008 mailers were stamped and placed into the USPS box, we have sworn off generic-mass-mail! Just like our newsletter, updates regarding our specials and activities will be sent via email. Yes, you’ll still get some mail from us — but those are personal notes and thank yous specifically directed to you!

Last chance on two studio walls!
browngoldGoing, going, gone!

Two of our studio walls will shortly be out of commission! Our contemporary brown squares wall will be repainted and our gold wall is about to become storage space for all our small seating props, backdrops and the “stuff” we’ve acquired since moving into the new studio last January! We’ve had great fun using both walls, but we have some new ideas to make use of!

If you were just dying to use one or both of them, you still have a chance … until December 23rd!

Meet Michelle!
michelleEmebbsYou mayor may not know that our studio has grown this year! It really has! On January 1st, we had one and only one employee — Aimee. Today, we have 10 plus Aimee! And some of our photographers have become wonderfully skilled this year … to the point of taking on new challenges!

Michelle (right there on the left!) is one of three of our photographers that now work with just about anyone!

See that image on the right? Michelle took that!

Michelle photographs Kidzpiks sessions and now she also photographs families and newborns on location and in the studio. And guess what? She’s available on Saturdays! But, book as far in advance as possible as her Saturday sessions go fast!
