This couple from NY got married in Fayetteville at the Cape Fear Botanical Gardens. It was a gorgeous day though a bit hot. June 7th was the tail end of one of the hottest weeks ever in NC — I believe it was 103 degrees (ish) that day. And, of course, the ceremony was outdoor as was the reception — outdoor. Talk about nutso weather! Who would have thought?

The bride & groom persevered though … they were not deterred and ultimately … became husband and wife! Wahoo!

Party time!

The ceremonial cutting of the fake cake. 🙂 It totally threw me! I kept wondering why they weren’t feeding each other …. though I guess styrofoam just isn’t that tasty … but it sure does a good job of making a cake last in 103 degrees! 😉

A spot of shade. When you need it, you take it. Everyone kinda piled onto the bench, so hey … why not? We did have to squeeze in between the two support beams though, so two had to sit on laps … no problem at all for the two married couples. 🙂
